The highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro is not so difficult. Thousands of people come to ascend every year. Normally, it takes 6 days to ascend and 1 day to descend the mountain. Package tours are available with tour guides, porters, and a cook for you. I wish to climb it and see its beautiful landscape someday in my life.
Kilian Journet, a Spanish ski mountaineer and long-distance runner, ascended and descended in 7 hours and 14 minutes in 2010. It was really unbelievable, and it had been world record.
However, I didn't know that his world record was broken by Swiss veteran mountain guide, Karl Egloff, who ascended and descended in 6 hours, 42 minutes and 24 seconds!
