I wrote about Maurice White, the leader and a vocalist of Earth Wind & Fire in a recent post. He has been one of my favorite vocalists for many years.
Yet another vocalist I love is Al Jarreau, who won the Grammy Awards in three categories (Jazz, R&B, and Pops). Both Maurice and Al have rhythmic and groovy way of singing in common.
Based on his great technique, Al Jarreau has a sophisticated and urban taste, and at the same time, he has human warm feeling.
I love this smoothness of his voice!
